Series of YPHD Extrrsion-expander developed by Zhengzhou Siwei (Group) Co., Ltd. is very popular for its stable performance, advanced structure and outstanding effect. It is mainly used for expanding oilseed as soybean, rice bran, rapeseed and cottonseed with the processing capacity of 200-1200T/D;
After series of chemical and physical functions as extrusion, kneading, cutting, humidifying and heating treatment, frication, cell of oilseed is destroyed completely and the enzyme is passivated. Pressure in oilseed turns suddenly from very high to normal when it is let out from expander, thus moisture is evaporated out from the oilseed tissue. As a result, loose and high intensity expanded oilseed is got.
Oilseed Expansion has following features:
1.　Improve extractor’s processing capacity:
　　Since bulk density of expanded oilseed is increased by 20～30% compared to uncooked oilseed, so the processing capacity of extractor and desolventizer is increased accordingly.
2.　Improve extraction speed
　　Since expansion can destroy oilseed tissue, increase oilseed void, so the permeability of solvent and miscella is improved. As a result, extraction time is shortened.
3.　Reduce solvent content in wet meal to relieve burden of downstream equipment
　　Permeability and draining of oilseed is improved and solvent content in wet meal can be reduced to 20%, so the expander can relieve burden of desolventizer(DTDC). Steam consumption is also reduced accordingly.
4.　Increase miscella concentration and relieve burden of miscella evaporation system
　　Miscella concentration is increased from 20% to 28～30%, so burden of miscella evaporation system and solvent recovery system is relieved.
5.　Passivate the enzyme of oilseed and improve oil quality
　　Enzyme and anti-nutrilite is passivated in process of extrusion and expansion. This can avoid bad influence to phospholipid and reduces un-hydrated phospholipid content in the crude oil. At the same time, phospholipid quantity and quality is also improved.
6.　Increase flaking capacity
　　Requirement on flakes thickness is not so strict when the oilseed is expanded, so processing capacity of Flaking Roller is increased accordingly.
7.　Reduce power consumption in process of extraction
　　Since the expander can improve miscella concentration and reduce solvent content in wet meal, all this will decrease solvent consumption in process of extraction and reduce the cost accordingly.
8.　Oilseed is discharged by hydraulic conial plug, which makes it facilitate operation greatly.
